Covid-19 Information Update



Dear Patient


We continue to be open during the current COVID restrictions and the team at Artis thank you for your continued patience during this period of uncertainty. The safety and care of our patients and staff is our ultimate priority and we have invested in additional PPE and fogging equipment to ensure the highest possible levels of infection control in our practice.


For our Private Patients, we continue to offer treatments privately, either on a Pay-As-You-Go basis or through one of our Care Plan options which are available to all.  For our NHS Patients, we continue to observe current government guidelines


To ensure that your visit to the practice as safe and comfortable as possible we have made a number of changes to your journey through the practice as follows:


Your Patient Journey…

  • We will triage all patients by phone from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 9am to 4.30pm on Fridays. Outwith these hours, if you are an NHS patient please call NHS 24 on 111. If you are a private patient please call the practice to access the answering machine service and you will be directed to an on call dentist.

  • Only patients with an appointment can be admitted to the practice so please attend alone. A parent or carer is welcome to accompany a child under 16 and patients requiring support.

  • Please use the toilet before arriving as our toilet facilities will not be available to patients.

  • Please avoid bringing bags and personal belongings with you where possible.

  • We have a closed door policy in place so on arrival you will find the practice door will be locked until your appointment time.

  • On entering please wear a mask. One of our team will take your temperature ask Covid screening questions and direct you to the hand-gel dispenser.

  • Payments and further appointments, can be made at a safe distance with the receptionist. Payment by card is preferable.

  • Following treatment, you will be asked to leave the practice via the back door.

  • If you develop COVID-19 symptoms within 7 days after visiting the surgery please contact us to let us know.
